Founded in 2015, the Company developed a unique mobile app designed to book childcare taxi services for children aged 5-11 years. The app enabled families to pre-book a childcare professional (called a “guardian”) to drive their children to and from school and activities. The OneLane app received significant media exposure, featuring in The Telegraph, The Huffington Post, the London Evening Standard, the Metro, and on City A.M.

Since the launch of the OneLane app in London in early 2016, more than 1000 families registered, and the app had more than 100 active users. The Company achieved 2400 completed bookings in 2016, operating across central London, and generated revenue of circa £25k within six months of launch. OneLane projected its revenue to exceed £2m by 2018.

The Company’s OneLane app features separate interfaces for guardians and families. The app was developed in Agile by a third party, using Jira for project management. The OneLane app was written in Swift 3.0, with the backend and admin panel written in Python, AngularJS and Bootstrap. The entire architecture was hosted on Amazon Web Services.
