Metis Partners, a multi-disciplinary IP firm with a proven track record in the assessment, exploitation, monetisation, valuation and sale of intellectual property assets, is launching a major recruitment drive.

The Glasgow-based IP specialist is in the midst of a rapid expansion, having recently opened an office in Farringdon, London and with a new office in Aberdeen opening this summer, in addition to an expansion in its presence in Berkeley, California. The growth matches the expansion of a burgeoning industry of which Metis Partners are at the forefront.

The company is now seeking six new full-time analysts – three in Advisory, two in Corporate Recovery and one in Brokerage to join the team. It is also seeking a penultimate year marketing intern to participate in its industry-leading internship programme, which offers fulltime hours over the summer with further opportunities to work part-time over the rest of the year.

Adding to Metis Partners’ prestigious portfolio of IP assets sales, and the Corporate Recovery team’s successes are the recent sales of Polaroid Blipfoto, Internacionale, WeeWorld, Ortak and Barnsby.

The Metis Partners Advisory team has also supported an impressive range of transactions for clients such as Clydesdale Bank Growth Finance team, Boost&Co, Energy Ventures, Clifton Asset Management, Front Row Energy Partners and Bain Capital.

Metis Partners specialises in identifying and exploiting IP assets ranging from formal IP rights, such as patents, trademarks and design rights, to informal rights such as trade secrets, employee knowledge, organisational knowledge, R&D and databases.
