A UK-based manufacturer of zero-alcohol spirits, producing private label zero-alcohol spirit ranges for major UK food and drink retailers. The company also developed and launched a portfolio of zero-alcohol spirit product brands across various drinks categories, which it sells to distributors and retailers globally.
The company owns critical IP assets which underpinned its competitive advantage, including key organizational knowledge, trade secrets and brand-related assets. We were engaged by the company to conduct an independent valuation of the IP assets in order to inform internal decision making, in advance of upcoming fundraising activities.
We valued the IP portfolio on a fair value basis. We performed analysis on the alcoholic beverage industry, including the zero and low alcohol categories, to assess the key drivers of industry growth and benchmark the company’s business strategy for achieving its financial forecasts.
