Metis Partners was engaged by Deloitte, who was appointed as Administrator for the five companies within the Paperlinx group.
Company
The Group was headquartered in Australia and had been distributing paper in Europe since the 1600s. The Companies successfully established a presence in the UK paper market through a number of acquisitions in the 1990s.
The operations of all PaperlinX businesses were underpinned by a robust framework of product stewardship, including a Global Supply Chain Policy and certifications from both the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

Metis Partners quickly recognised that due to the multi territory coverage of the trade mark portfolio there could be substantive value in splitting the portfolio and marketing separate IP bundles. We were able to successfully complete deals with more than ten parties who were operating in different territories, for both outright sales and perpetual licenses.
