Company
The Environmental Academy was established in 2006 as a training and consultancy provider in the environmental management space. The Company gained recognition as a centre for excellence that delivered and specialized in online and classroom-based environmental vocational training to employees and management-level team members of both industry and public sector clients. The Environmental Academy was an IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) approved training centre, which at this time was the only provider of a vocational route to obtain Associate level membership in the IEMA.

Highlight of this IP Sale
We conducted a thorough IP discovery exercise and identified a number of critical IP assets which contributed to underpinning the Company’s business model. Through communicating the extent of this IP portfolio in our marketing materials, we were able to exceed expectations in the final offer price and sold the IP to a buyer operating in the same space, ensuring the IP will be commercialized fully in the future.
