Marketing Executive – Full-time (£COMPETITIVE)

Metis Partners is an Intellectual Property (“IP”) Valuation firm with a proven track record in the assessment, valuation and sale of IP assets. What we do

We identify, value and sell IP for a range of clients, big and small, private and PLC, across numerous sectors. Our approach is focused on analysing a business, its key resources, its competitive advantage and how IP contributes to the business. We get a unique, inside view of what makes companies tick – both the successful ones and those who are failing. We also provide support other professionals, advising on and facilitating business turnarounds leveraging the value of IP assets to attract rescue funding.

We operate across three IP disciplines: IP Valuation, IP Advisory and Corporate Recovery and Restructuring. A Senior Manager heads up each of the three teams. Metis Partners is acknowledged as the UK market leader in IP Valuation and IP Sale and is expanding its niche international business in the US and Europe.

What the role involves

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Marketing Executive to drive online and offline marketing activities and organise corporate events.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Management Team to promote our services; publicise our successes; manage CRM; plan national, and occasionally international, events; and coordinate a marketing plan that supports our business strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver online and offline marketing activities
  • Manage the company’s social media presence and expand its reach
  • Produce and update appropriate content for brochures, advertisements, press releases, website and social media
  • Graphic Design – create marketing collateral, ads, graphics, etc.
  • Web development & maintenance – regularly update website content using WordPress
  • Event Management – organise, run and attend Metis Partners client events in Scotland and London – approx. 4 per year
  • Creation of email marketing campaigns through Mailchimp and monitoring performance
  • Manage all marketing deadlines and liaise with the Management Team to determine relevant content
  • Contribute to weekly discussions on how marketing can support business development activities
  • CRM Management – develop and maintain administrative customer databases
  • Business Development – attend relevant business networking events
  • Assist in developing annual marketing strategy and plan
  • IP100 – organise events (approx. 4-6 per year), maintain social media presence, organise sponsor calls and project manage annual publication

Skills profile

  • Excellent written & oral communication skills (essential)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and experience using WordPress or similar (essential)
  • Experience in B2B marketing incorporating a digital focus (essential)
  • Experience with graphic design software such as Photoshop and InDesign (essential)
  • Event organisation experience (strongly desirable)
  • Knowledge of CRM (desirable)
  • Mailchimp or other email marketing software (desirable)
