2014 was a bumper year for our Corporate Recovery team, with over 50% growth and a variety of assignments taking us across the country and spanning many different industries, from shipbuilding to software, and fashion retail to burial services!
In celebration of yet another great year, our Corporate Recovery team hosted our annual Burns Night event on the 29th January at the Devonshire Terrace in London. We brought ourselves (and our Scottish charm) down with us and were delighted that so many of our friends and contacts from insolvency professionals to asset valuers and auctioneers and all in between were able to join us. We had a memorable evening with some notable highlights including:
- The Piping of the Haggis – which was universally acknowledged to be delicious (some indulged in 3 or more bowls!), despite the understandable trepidations of some of our English guests
- Speeches from Stephen Robertson, Nat Baldwin, Linda Shannon and quiz master Josef Geoola
- Our Scottish themed quiz won by Andy Stirrat and Sandra Hope of Clydesdale Bank, and Fiona Nicolson of Bristows (who coincidentally are also Scottish – we suspect insider knowledge)
The event gave ample opportunity for ourselves and our guests to get suitably merry, and we would like to thank all who attended, and hopefully be able to extend this invitation to those who couldn’t make it in future years to come.
We spoke business with many of you, however we understand that many of you may not have wished to talk business the morning after, we certainly didn’t… If you would like more information regarding the services we provide, and to join us on what is sure to be a great 2015, please give us a call on 0141 353 3011.
